Qi Hongzhe, a lighting store owner, helps his mother-in-law, Lv Xiuzhu, to do some lighting repairs at the nightclub she works at. Xiuzhu wants to meet her grandchildren but Shuhui does not allow it. Shuhui refuses to acknowledge her because she could not forgive her mother for the abandonment when she was a child.
