Xiao Xi turns herself in and is sentenced to 6 months of jail term. After serving her sentence, an ashamed Xiao Xi refuses Ming Ren's feelings and stays in a hotel instead. Ming Ren stages a chance meeting with Xiao Xi along with Fang Dong and the rest of the tenants, to show that they do not discriminate her. Xiao Xi is touched and agrees to return to the Zhou house.
