Thinking Ruoyun is about to commit suicide, Shuqi plunges over to save her. Both tumble, and Ruoyun falls heavily onto Shuqi. It turns out that Ruoyun couldn’t sleep. When she got up to go to the washroom, she noticed some dirt on the window and climbed onto the ledge to wipe it clean. In the morning, Ruoyun prepares French toast for everyone. Xiaoqiao isn't appreciative, and chides her for using her bread and eggs. Xu Tao and Shuqi drool at the sight of the toast. After taking a bite, however, they realise the bread is burnt. Qiyuan continues eating with relish. Zhengye recalls going back to the old office and finding Xiaoqiao. Conflicting emotions arise. When he asks her to join him in a client meeting, she thinks he is trying to start a relationship with her. While dining with Xiaoqiao, Zhengye thinks he has spotted Ruoyun. He rushes out to look for her but to no avail. Qiyuan manages to retrieve Ruoyun's lost wallet. She finds a child's photo within and surmises it must be a photo of her son.
