Xu Tao passes his audition and receives an offer to play a lead role. However, the movie's investor turns out to be Max. Max deliberately makes things difficult by rescinding the offer. Unable to get Max to change his mind, Xu Tao drowns his sorrows with alcohol. He ends up drunk and almost gets into a fight with someone else. Shu Qi could not bear to see Xu Tao so demoralised and begs Max to give Xu Tao a chance. Max agrees to do so but on one condition.
