Yaozong asks Ruojun to mediate, but Xinni refuses to forgive him. Ruojun deduces that Xinni is upset because she assumes Yaozong minds that she was once molested and wants to check if she is still a virgin. No matter what Ruojun says, Xinni refuses to forgive Yaozong. Yaozong apologises to Xinni under a tree by using leaves to form a heart. She tests him by lying that she can never conceive. He is willing to accept her, and she finally accepts his marriage proposal. Concerned about Tim, Ruojun visits him again.
