The quick-witted Xinni defuses the hostage situation. Ruojun is amused that Yaozong and Xinni are constantly bickering. To be near Ruojun, Yiqiang joins her yoga class and does the household chores. He comes to realise she did not tell Meiying the cause of their divorce. Ruo’en tells Meiying she enjoys being single and urges her mother not to worry about her. Yaozong arranges for Jiazi to attend another training course to upgrade his skills. Ruojun and the others organise a surprise birthday party for Xinni. Yaozong fails to trick Xinni into entering the recreation room. So as not to disappoint everyone, he claims it is his birthday too and makes them celebrate for him.
